Living in Motion

Start where you are.

I know I need to move more. I just don't know how to make it fit the day I have.

And then there's the other half of it: I keep starting, and I keep stopping.

If either of those sounds like your week, you're in the right place. I don't think information is the missing piece. Most of us already know we should move. The hard part is finding a version of it that survives a full life.

STRIDE Together helps busy people build a sustainable life in motion by making walking and everyday movement part of how they live, not another plan they must fit around their lives.

"So one thing I've noticed, I've been getting up walking the bridge in the mornings, specifically Saturday mornings, a lot more recently. [...] Because, I mean, you pass people by and everyone is greeting you, everyone is hi, hi. You know, it's a big difference than when you first go in to work or even meeting someone who's out walking because they're headed to work or they're walking their dog. [...] And generally speaking, the people that I run into on my morning walks, who are walking as well, [...] all tend to be in really, really great moods."

That's a Saturday morning for me. It's a walk, and people saying hi.

What this is

Movement that lives inside an ordinary day. It isn't a separate appointment you squeeze in when there's time left over.

You start inside your current capacity. You track what you do, in whatever form makes sense for you. After the days that fall apart, you come back. You notice what helped and what got in the way, you change one thing, and then you keep going.

Who it serves

Busy adults who know movement matters and have struggled to make it fit real life. People who sit for long stretches of the day, who've started and stopped more than once, who feel behind when they look at what more advanced people are doing, and who want accountability without shame or pressure.

You don't have to be disciplined or athletic or confident to start. Willing is enough. You begin, you learn from what the first week shows you, and you adjust.

It's interesting how often movement creates the confidence we thought we needed first.

What you choose for yourself

You set your own realistic movement commitment, and you set a minimum win for the days that come apart. I'm not handing you a number.

How you track it is yours too. Steps, minutes, walking sessions, a check in, a note to yourself, or whatever else fits how you live.

Same with how movement gets into your day. One intentional walk, or short stretches gathered across the day, or parking farther out, or a walking pad, or redesigning something you already have to do.

The next step is usually smaller than our imagination makes it.

What this does not promise

  • Your own doctor stays in charge of your care. Nothing here is a cure, a treatment, or a diagnosis, and none of it substitutes for that guidance.
  • You pick your own number. There's no single step target that everyone here has to hit.
  • I'll talk about how you're moving and how you're feeling, and I'll leave weight promises and before and after claims alone.
  • Completion here means you took part, you came back, and you learned something. Whoever logs the highest total in the room finishes exactly the way you do.
  • A missed day is information. You read it, and then you keep going.
  • Dates and prices get named once they're decided, and you'll hear it from me first.

Two ways in

Both of these are open right now. There's no ladder here and no correct order, so pick the one that fits the week you're in.

STRIDE30 is the live 30 day activation. It runs as a group, inside the community, with a defined beginning and a finish line you reach together.

The next cohort doesn't have a date yet. The waitlist is how you hear about it first, and that's all it is. No payment, no commitment, no obligation when the date does come.

I'll only write to you about STRIDE30. No date is set yet, and there's nothing to pay.

The 30-Day STRIDE Walking Journal

The full journal is the self guided version of all of this: planning, tracking, reflection, the weekly reset, and a next practice plan at the end. It isn't ready yet, so there's no price, no date, and nothing to buy.

Both emails above will hear about it when it's ready.

Before you choose a commitment

Start inside your current capacity. What's realistic for you depends on your own health, your own season, and the guidance of your own doctor, and I can't see any of that from a web page. Nothing on this page is medical advice, and nothing here replaces the advice of the person who actually treats you. If you're unsure whether a commitment is right for you, please ask them before you make it.

You do not have to do this alone

There's a free community behind both of those doors. It's where people say what they really committed to, where they say when they missed a week, and where they get talked back into the next day without being made to feel small about the last one.

It stays open between challenges. It isn't a room that only exists when something's being sold.
